Background Information / Core Values
The Massachusetts Audubon Society is a non-profit organization located in Lincoln, MA. Mass Audubon has 60 wildlife reserves and hiking locations throughout Massachusetts, and is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England.
Working closely under the supervision of my professor, and with a representative from the Massachusetts Audubon Society, I was tasked with creating a one-page, owl habitat guide. (Pictured at bottom). Modeled in InDesign, this one sheet guide is designed to aid trail walkers in spotting seven of the most common owls native to Massachusetts. When I began my designing process, my idea was to create a handout that could be left at the beginning of the trail. I wanted my flier’s design to be eye-catching, yet informative, and printer-friendly. After receiving positive feedback from my client, I also designed a flier for Mass Audubon’s upcoming birding programs, a flier to encourage new customers to purchase a membership to their trails, and an Instagram advertisement to put their face in front of new audiences.
